A red headed poison frog (Ranitomeya fantastica), the highland morph which spends much of its time in the trees. From Northern Peru.
Ameerega cainarachi, a species of poison frog endemic to the Cainarachi valley in Peru.
The mimic poison frog (Ranitomeya imitator), a male carries his tadpole on his back. He will place the tadpole alone in a small pool of water and revisit to see if it is hungry. When the tadpole signals hunger he will go find the female and bring her back to lay an unfertilized egg for the tadpole to feed on.
