    The marbled four eyed frog (Pleurodema marmoratum) one of the two highest elevation frogs in the world, both species are found in the Cordillera Vilcanota in Peru.
    Liolaemus thomasi, a high andean lizard restricted to a few valleys high in the Andes of Southern Peru.
    Vicuna (Vicugna vicugna), the wild relatives of domestic llamas and alpacas, roam free over the puna grassland in the high Andes.
