Abra Acanacu Marsupial Frog (Gastrotheca excubitor) a threatened marsupial frog from central Peru.

Andean ibis (Theristicus branickii) from the high puna of Southern Peru. These birds wander wet peat bogs and pasture lands picking through the grass and cushion plants looking for food.

The lesser horned owl or Magellanic horned owl (Bubo magellanicus), formerly a subspecies of the great horned owl it was elevated to full species status. It lives in Southern South America and can be found high above the tree line in the Andes.
