    Colorful and diurnal moths in the Urania genus appear more similar to butterflies than other moths.  Yet they are indeed day active moths.
    A pair of blue-footed booby (Sula nebouxii) from the Galapagos.
    The American flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber) this is the galapagos subspecies (P. r. glyphorhynchus) which differs by being marginally smaller. On some of the islands in the galapagos it is possible to see them wading through the marshes sifting food from the water.
